Starting Rottweiler Training With A Puppy
As with any other breed of dog, the Rottweiler requires a lot of certain and specific training. Training is important if you want a dog that is going to be loyal, calm and not destroy your home. Rottweiler training is very diverse and there are a few issues in particular that you will want to be firm on, to ensure that your dog is as well developed and behaved as possible.
Remember that dogs communicate to one another through the use of body commands and not verbal commands. This is important when it comes to Rottweiler training because you need to make sure you implement more body commands than verbal if you want to have success here. Also keep in mind once you start the training that if you are having serious difficulties you do always have the option of calling in a professional to help you out here, or at least help you get started.
There are a few great tips that you can use when it comes to Rottweiler training. One in particular is to be careful when and why you give your Rottweiler treats. You never want them to think they are being rewarded when they have done something bad, and you should never give them any treats or a new toy just because you want to. You need to make them earn it so that they know they are getting rewarded and this helps them feel important because then they will not feel as though they are spoiled and as though everything is just theirs for the taking.
You should also remember that dogs respond better to physical commands than verbal, and this also applies when it comes to praise. You should pet or hug your dog when they have done something right, rather than just praise them verbally, because they will be more aware of the good that they have done and the reward they are receiving as a result.
You need to try not to get frustrated or annoyed during your Rottweiler obedience training. The length of time it will take to train a Rottweiler will differ from one dog to another, and so you really have to keep this in mind and have patience. Remember that your dog is not trying to be bad or ignorant on purpose, but some dogs just take longer to be trained than others.
If you are interested in getting a dog or already have one, training is incredibly important. Training your dog will most likely present some serious challenges but as long as you have patience and remember that the effort is all going to pay off in the end, you should not have that much trouble. If you really love and care for your dog then you are going to want to train them properly not only so that they can enjoy life more but so you can as well.
If you love your dog then Rottweiler training will be something you implement immediately and without question, because it is so important.
